Mold saw their hopes of avoiding relegation dealt a huge blow as they slipped to the foot of the Premier Division following an eight-wicket loss to Connah's Quay.

Quay's bowlers proved too hot to handle for Mold, who slumped to 6-4 before finishing 46 all out.

Martin Burger (4-8), Darren Leach (3-24) and Ryan Holloway (2-7) combined to skittle Mold, who did put up a fight with the ball.

Jamie Ryle claimed 2-12 for Mold, who are now four points from safety, but Quay reached 47-2 inside 13 overs, David Fox and Darren Jones seeing the visitors to victory.

Pwllheli (136-8) climbed out of the bottom two at Mold's expense as they beat fellow strugglers Llanrwst (135) by two wickets.

Brymbo will head into the final week of the season without too much pressure after they beat Llandudno by 116 runs to move 13 points clear of the drop zone.

The Brymbo bowling attack played their part after the turnaround as they dismissed Llandudno for just 94, Gareth Boys bagging 4-10 and Ben Roberts claiming 3-17.

Hawarden Park are anxiously looking over their shoulders at the bottom two after they were thrashed by 254 runs by champions Menai Bridge.

Hawarden, who used three wicket-keepers due to injuries, failed to get going in their reply, the home side falling to 133 all out, Adam Doyle hitting a top score of 38.
