Chester remain locked in negotiations with their preferred candidate for the managerial vacancy at the club.
The Blues board decided at the weekend on who they wanted to take charge of the club, with former Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn and ex-Mansfield boss Adam Murray understood to be under consideration.
An announcement was expected by Tuesday, but the club remain in talks with their prospective manager with the finer details under discussion believed to be financial.
Chester have since gone back to their preferred candidate with their best offer and it remains to be seen whether a deal can be finalised over the coming days, or whether the club will return to the drawing board and seek out another candidate for the opportunity to be named as Marcus Bignot’s successor.
Chester’s Swansway Chester Stadium will host Liverpool Ladies vs Manchester City Women next Tuesday, May 8 (7pm). The FA Women’s Super League clash will feature the likes of Steph Houghton, Jill Scott and Laura Coombs.
Admission prices on the day are £6 for adults and £3.00 for children (under 16s), OAPs and students with a valid student ID.
