TYLER OWEN’S two goals helped Rhostyllen reach the final of the U16s Cup in the Wrexham Junior League.

Substitute Kieran Williams was also on target in the 3-0 victory over Chirk.

Rhostyllen will meet Ruthin Town Blues in the final after they beat their club-mates Ruthin Town in the other semi-final.

In the only league encounter, Borras Park Rangers and Brickfield Rangers drew 2-2. Sam Bryan bagged both for Borras with Harry Wick Brickie’s double-getter.

There were some close encounters in the U15s League where FC Borras Park Albion and FC Queen’s Park both enjoyed 4-3 away-day wins.

Jayden Williams grabbed a double in Park’s success at Penycae while Keanu Williams scored and set up one as Albion triumphed at Cefn Albion.

CJ Richardson scored and set up two more in Brickfield Rangers’ 6-4 victory at Marchwiel Villa for whom Callum Higginbottom and Jack Pumford scored two apiece.

There were 5-2 wins for Borras Park Rangers and Llay United over Borras Park Albion and Chirk respectively.

Alan Szatkowski (2), Mason Jones, Leeam Musekiwa and Jayden Baker were Rangers’ marksmen at Albion, who hit back through two-goal Alfie Brown.

Kacper Bury and Osian Phillips earned Rhos Aelwyd a 2-0 win over Ruthin Town while in the U14s League, Rhos Aelwyd edged it 3-2 at Coedpoeth United Celts, for whom captain Dylan Jones and Logan Harper netted.

Bala won a 5-4 thriller at Gresford Athletic while Ruthin Town returned from Brymbo with a 6-1 success.

Charlie Jones fired in five and Mason Pugh hit a hat-trick in Chirk’s big win over FC Borras Park Albion.

One goal was enough for Llangollen to beat FC Gresford Athletic 1-0 while Llay United were 2-0 winners at Cefn United.

Penycae, Gresford Athletic and Llangollen all knocked in nine goals in the U13s League.

Owen Fellowes (3), Joshua Perkins (2), Ollie-Jay Binnersley, Noah Jarvis, Ethan Jones and Logan Roberts netted in Penycae’s 9-0 win at Borras Park Albion Yellows.

Gresford were also 9-0 winners against FC Queen’s Park while Llangollen celebrated a 9-1 victory at Llay United.

Captain Freddie Wright’s hat-trick paved he way for Overton’s 4-3 win against Ruthin Town while Coedpoeth United edged it 3-2 at Brickfield Rangers.

Bala beat Hope Dragons 2-1 and it finished 1-1 between Borras Park Albion Blues (Logan Hay) and Chirk (Dexter Conde). 

Seven was the magic number for Overton and Gresford Athletic in the U12s League.

Overton beat FC Llay United 7-2 while Gresford were 7-0 victors at Johnstown.

Cefn Mawr Rangers triumphed 6-1 at Chirk and Corwen enjoyed a 6-2 success at Bellevue.

Brymbo beat FC Queen’s Park 3-1, Llay United were 4-2 winners at home to Llangollen and Ruthin Town Blues saw off Borras Park Albion 5-2.

Ruthin’s other side sneaked a 3-2 victory at FC Borras Park Albion, Llay United got the better of Llangollen Blues 4-2 while Llangollen Reds beat Wrexham Futsal 3-1.

The other game between Coedpoeth United Celts and Hope Dragons ended 2-2.
