CARL FORSTER is anticipating a tough challenge as North Wales Crusaders make the most of League One home comforts for the first time this season this weekend.

Crusaders, who opened their league campaign with a 40-16 success at Cornwall, welcome Midlands Hurricanes to Colwyn Bay's Stadiwm CSM on Sunday.

Head coach Forster told CruCast: "They're a good outfit.

"They've not been quiet in their recruitment over the off-season.

"Obviously, we know Brad Billsborough very well. A good few years down here and, obviously, he's made the switch up there and Dave Hewitt, from Rochdale... they've brought some great players in.

"So, it's going to be a real tough ask.

"The Midlands fixture isn't the Midlands fixture of old. Obviously, no guarantees there and they're going to come to us and it's going to be a real tough game for us."

Forster and Toby Hughes both grabbed a brace of tries apiece as Crusaders began the campaign with their comfortable win away to Cornwall.

Kieran Taylor, captain Chris Barratt and Dan Coates grab the other scores.

Sunday will be the first of consecutive home matches for the North Wales side, who will play host to Newcastle Thunder on April 7.
