TABLE-TOPPING Chester pocketed three valuable points at home to their fifth placed visitors.
Antoni Sarcevic put the Blues ahead after nine minutes when he thumped home from close range after visiting keeper Glyn Thompson had parried Wes Baynes' 25 yard free kick.
Worcester levelled matters in the 52nd minute thanks to a superbly struck 20 yard shot by Greg Mills that beat Chester keeper John Danby and found the top left corner of the net.
But Craig Curran put Chester 2-1 in front after 62 minutes with a flicked header that found the target off the left post from Nathan Jarman's right wing delivery.
And Matty McGinn extended the Blues advantage from the penalty spot in the 74th minute after captain Geoirge Horan had been brought down in the area.
Worcester reduced their arrears in the 85th minute when Mike Symons found the target after wrong-footing Danby.
