BRYMBO could be eyeing up back to back title wins after they went joint-top of the Premier Division in a 7-0 hammering of Llanuwchllyn.

Manager Phil Hudson was delighted with his team’s display as they joined Corwen at the top of the table.

Jamie Cumming put Brymbo into an early lead as he headed home from a corner and doubled the lead by bending a superb shot in off the underside of the bar.

“We were even more dominant after the break,” said Hudson, who saw Ryan Clarke score before Cumming completed his hat-trick with a superb free-kick into the top corner.

Clarke also completed his treble and another stunning free-kick, this time from Jordan Deer put the icing on the cake.

Corwen switched their clash with Mold Alex to Bala’s 3G pitch and Sam Henry and Joe Williams’ penalty secured a 2-0 win.

Chirk AAA played out a dour goal-less draw with Hawarden Rangers while Llay Welfare’s purple patch continued with a 3-2 victory over Cefn Albion.

Manager Mike Gadie said: “Confidence in the camp is sky high and the lads are believing in each other and the team spirit is something else.

Further efforts from Rhys Lloyd and Matty Worrall put Llay fourth although Cefn pushed them all the way with Callum Taylor and Zac Davies getting their goals.

The Queen’s Park and FC Nomads clash was a real even contest until Matty Hill grabbed the winner with an excellent strike with 15 minutes remaining. Nomads clearly centre backs Paul Murphy and Ash Lewis played their part with superb displays in defence.

Plas Madoc are running away with things in Division One and are 11 points clear at the top.

Nicky Williams and Jamie Williams netted two goals apiece in their 6-0 whitewash of Johnstown with Lee Price and Sean Valentine making the points safe.

Castell Alun needed a late winner from Dan Woosey after he was set up by Tom Adams to beat Cefn Maer Rangers 2-1. Scott Williams had put the hosts ahead but Aaron Blackwell levelled for Rangers.

Sam Wainwright, James Beck and Jack Leonard-Gill scored in New Brighton Villa’s 3-0 win against Overton.

In the Reserves Division, Mold Alex were worthy 3-0 winners over Corwen and had Morgan Jones, Kal Levell and Luke Wooley on the scoresheet.

Sitting in second spot are Ruthin Town after they won 4-0 at FC Nomads courtesy of strikes from Steff Dolben, Will Owen who netted a goal in each half and Charlie Williams.

Buckley Town were sunk 3-1 by Chirk AAA, who had the recalled veteran Anthony Jones to thank as he came back with a bang to score a hat-trick.

Cefn Druids are likely to take the title race down to the wire and they polished off Brickfield Rangers 5-0. Making up their nap hand were Alan Morris (2), Moussa Amassa, Lewis George and Charlie Williams.

Goals from Tom Janney and Dan Jones saw Hawarden Rangers defeat Gresford Athletic 2-1 after the visitors had led through a 15th minute Will Roberts effort.

In the Reserves and Colts Division, Penycae ran amok to secure a 9-1 success at Johnstown. Tom Edwards (2), Adam Jones, Dan McInnes, Elliott Kavanagh, Luke Peters, Harry Bowen, Dan Mannion and Kyle Davies with a 90th minute spot-kick did the damage.

Cefn Albion were edged out 3-2 by New Brighton Villa who netted through Matt Williams, Adam Funnell and a late winner from Mike Merryfield.

Mynydd Isa Spartans also went down 3-2 against Rhydymwyn who netted through Charlie Bradbury (2) and Macauley Cooper. Joe Robbins and Corey Cooper scored for Isa.

Rhos Aelwyd enjoyed a 4-2 local derby success against Cefn Mawr Rangers and their marksmen were Lee Hanmer and Lloyd Marsden (2) and an own goal. Sam Mars and James Colley replied.
