PRESTATYN Town joint-manager Leon Field has stepped down from his role.

The former Kinmel Bay manager arrived at the Motion Finance Stadium alongside Ryan Turner, but he departs his role after just six Huws Gray Alliance games.

Field confirmed the news to The Journal late on Thursday night, with the club yet to officially announce the news.

The departing boss posted on the Seasiders’ Facebook page, saying: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for giving me a chance at the club.

“I’ve enjoyed every minute of it it’s been a great but short lived experience I will never forget I’ll still be down as a fan to support.”

Town have enjoyed a difficult start to life back in the second tier after losing all but one of last season’s squad following their relegation from the JD Welsh Premier League.

Despite the huge turnaround, there have definitely been signs of life in recent weeks, most notably in their home draw with derby rivals Rhyl and their 4-0 win over Penrhyncoch in the Huws Gray Cup last weekend.

Turner is expected to take charge for their league clash against Ruthin Town tomorrow.
