Wrexham have completed the loan signing of highly-rated winger Jordan Maguire-Drew from Premier League side Brighton

The 20-year-old put pen to paper on the season-long deal this evening (Wednesday) after completing a medical.

Maguire-Drew joins the Reds after a successful loan at Dagenham & Redbridge during the 2016-17 season where he scored 14 times.

A further loan spell at Lincoln City followed, before he spent the second half of last season with League Two side Coventry City.

Maguire-Drew said: “It’s brilliant to get my move to Wrexham done now and I’m really looking forward to getting started.

“I can’t wait to get training with the boys and I’m really looking forward to Saturday’s game at Dover.

“I played for Dagenham in this league two years ago, I know what it takes and I know what it’s all about, I’m looking to carry on from where I left off.

“I like to create things on the pitch and get the crowd on their feet. I finished in the play-offs with Dagenham and I’m looking to go one better now here at Wrexham.”

Manager Sam Ricketts said: “I identified Jordan as a target early on and we’ve all worked hard to get this deal over the line, so I’m delighted he’s here.

“He adds some more pace from wide areas and he knows where the goal is. We are looking for more of an attacking threat and I believe Jordan will contribute to that.”
