Ambitious Wrexham Warriors player Neal Allen hopes that his performances for club and country can pave the way towards a professional career.
Allen, 22, has just returned from a training camp in Portugal, where he took his international cap total to 19 while in action for Wales U23s.
The Welsh played three competitive games in Portugal against USA side Connecticut North Stars, the Portugal U20s team and local side Sangalhos.
Wales took the win in their opener against the professional Sangalhos outfit, but fell short in the other two games.
Allen said: "I really enjoyed the training camp and playing international games for my country as it made me hungry to achieve even more and further improve my skills to hopefully become a professional and play overseas."
