SOPHIE ECCLESTONE will be looking to pick up where she left off after being named in England Women's squad for the One-Day International series against New Zealand.

Chester-born Ecclestone was named player of the competition in the T20 tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, which concluded with England beating the former by seven wickets in Sunday's final.

Ecclestone was named player of the series after taking 10-134 across the five games with her left-arm spin.

Taking to social media, the 19-year-old wrote: "What a series win! To have won player of the series has topped it off. Next stop Headingley for the ODIs."

Ecclestone will have competition for a place in the England 50-over side from Alex Hartley, who has been included in the 15-strong squad alongside Katie George.

England head coach Mark Robinson said: "I've been pleased with how we've played this summer, in both 50-over and IT20 cricket. We've got a bit of competition for places, which is healthy, and as such we've got a group of players pushing each other to improve all the time.

"It's good to have Alex Hartley back with the group and Katie George has had a promising start to her career at this level, and we look forward to taking on New Zealand."
