Former Wrexham and Chester forward Marc Williams has joined Cymru Alliance side Bangor City.

The prolific 29-year-old striker, who represented Wales at U21 level and enjoyed spells with Kidderminster Harriers and Northwich, joins the Citizens from Welsh Premier side Llandudno.

City boss Craig Harrison has been proactive in the summer transfer market since taking charge and was delighted to capture Williams’ signature.

He said: “Marc is another fantastic addition to the squad, with lots of experience in the WPL, Europa league,Conference and Conference North.

“Marc will not only bring his fair share of goals but also assist as well. "He can also play in a couple of different positions; attack midfield, centre forward and also as a number 10 as a top quality link up player.

“He is also a winner and will work hard for the team to help us try and be successful as the team is the most important thing moving forward. You need special players within the team structure to win you games and Marc is definitely one of them players.

"I think it’s very important to have goals in the team and with Les Davies, Alex Darlington, Marc Williams, Luke Wall, Robbie Parry and Sam Jones we have lots of goals and experience at WPL level and I’m sure they can transfer them into the HGA."

Harrison has also added former Wrexham player Anthony Stephens, as well as ex-Airbus duo Andy Jones and Lee Owen, to his squad as he looks to mount a promotion challenge.
