MOLD lost control of the Chester and District Division One table after losing to Tarporley by 59 runs.

The Flintshire side were bowled out for 97 after Tarporley, who are now joint-top, had posted 156 for four from their 20 overs.

Kingsley Knights (85-2) have joined Tarporley at the summit after they beat Academicals (84) by eight wickets, while Marchwiel and Wrexham (134-5) overcame Llay Welfare (133-3) by five wickets.

Red Lion (107-4) were also victorious as they beat Hawarden Park (106-5) by six wickets, despite Jamie Brailsford's half century.

Brymbo Brewers made it half-a-dozen Division Two wins on the bounce after beating Golden Eagle by nine wickets.

Having restricted Eagle to 129 for four, Brymbo cruised to 131 for one in reply.

West Cheshire Xbatters were too hot to handle for Cornerhouse, who were left staring defeat in the face after leaking 200 runs in the field.

Cornerhouse replied with 124 as they were beaten by 76 runs.

Saughall (144-2) beat Chester Lions (140-7) by eight wickets, a result matched by HGWCC (141-2) against visiting Mynydd Isa (138-6).

Home advantage paid off in Division Three as Cross Keys, Halkyn and Gresford all claimed victories.

James Blaxall and James Evans both struck half centuries as Cross Keys hit 150 for two in reply to The Groves' 149 for five to claim an eight-wicket win, while James Beresford hit 49 not out as Halkyn (127-3) beat West Kirby Wasps (122-5) by seven wickets.

Gresford (119-6) edged past West Cheshire College (118-3) by four wickets with Sam Thompson hitting 46.

In Division Four, Abergele (126-6) defeated Castle Square Cutters (126-5) by four wickets, while Oakmere (78-1) overcame Saightonians (77) by nine wickets and Outlaws (171-3) won by 56 runs at Bromborough (115-6).

Ian Noonan's unbeaten 57 went without reward as Kinnerton (127) were beaten by 47 runs by Wirral (174-6) in Division Five, which is topped by Bank of America (128-4), who beat Oak Tree Outlaws (127-7) by four wickets.

Shotton (141-7) held their nerve to win by eight runs at Frodsham (133-4), while Dodleston (155-2) defeated Westminster Park (96) by 59 runs.

In Division Six, Defib posted a huge 206-4 as they beat Chester Taverners (116) by 96 runs, while Buckley (99-2) defeated MP Plumbing (98-6) by eight wickets.
