DAN NOLAN is "honoured" to have been appointed Wrexham's new Head of Youth.

Nolan, who was lead coach at the under-16 development phase, is an A licence qualified coach, progressing through the coveted FAW education system.

Nolan, who joined Wrexham in September 2015, said: "I am honoured to be given the opportunity as the new Head of Youth at Wrexham AFC.

"Having worked at the club for the last three seasons I have been fortunate to learn from many people within the youth structure.

"The club has a rich history of developing talent in both players and coaches in conjunction with its core values and I will work tirelessly to create an environment where this can continue to happen."

On the appointment of Nolan, who has worked as first team coach under former boss Dean Keates as well as fulfilling several roles within the youth department, director Spencer Harris said: "We are delighted to appoint Dan into the full time role of Head of Youth.

"This is a hugely important role for the football club and we believe Dan has the knowledge, drive and determination to help us build for the future."
