HOLYWELL TOWN have been boosted by the news that key trio Sam Jones, Paul Williams and Mark Winslade are staying at Halkyn Road for the 2018/19 season.

The likes of Shaun Pearson, Matty Harvey and Steve Thomas have left the Wellmen since John Haseldin was replaced in the Holywell hotseat by Gareth Sudlow.

But the new Holywell boss has managed to keep hold of strikers Jones and Winslade and midfielder Williams, much to his delight.

On re-signing Jones, Sudlow said: "I’m absolutely over the moon to sign Sam for the season.

"He is everything that this club stands for and I am delighted. He is going to be massive for us this season."

Sudlow was equally pleased to keep hold of Williams, who attracted interest from elsewhere.

He said: "To get Willow, who was last season's player of the year, signed up is a major coup for us at Holywell.

"The offers he has turned down from this league and the Welsh Premier is staggering and shows his loyalty."

Winslade is the latest player to re-sign for the forthcoming campaign, Sudlow adding: “To keep Wins at this football club is such a boost for us all. Having played with Wins, I’ve seen it first hand what a player he is."

Holywell's Cymru Alliance rivals, Flint Town United, have confirmed two new signings in the shape of Mamudo Dabo and Ryan Smith.

The duo arrive from Tranmere Rovers Degree side with Dabo a 20-year-old striker and Smith an attacking midfielder, who graduated from The New Saints academy.

Gresford Athletic have strengthened their squad with the arrivals of goalkeeper Mike Jones, wideman Jordan MacCarter and former Chester youngster Kieran Evans, brother of new Cefn Druids signing, Jordan.

Bangor City have also been active in the market with former TNS winger Robbie Parry and ex-Colwyn Bay defender Sam Barnes signed-up permanently and Jake Phillips brought in on a season long loan from Connah's Quay Nomads.

New Brickfield Rangers boss Nick Ward has been busy shaping his squad for an expected Welsh National Premier Division title challenge.

Former Bangor City striker Alan Bull has become the club's first high profile signing, while Scott Swords, Chris Boyes and Matthew Wareham have penned new deals.

Defender Ben Collins returns to Brickfield, who have signed Nathan Nicholls from FC Nomads.
