The Ancients booked a second foray into European competition after beating Cardiff Met 1-0 to win the Welsh Premier League play-off final, securing around £190,000 in the process.

Huw Griffiths' men are unseeded in today's draw in Geneva with Maltese duo Birkirkara and Gzira United, Faroe Islands' B36 Torshavn, Lithuania's Trakai, San Marino outfit Folgore and Europa, of Gibraltar, all potential opponents.

The preliminary round first leg will be played on Thursday, July12 with the return encounter taking place a week later.

Ahead of the draw, Griffiths, who has strengthened his playing squad with the signing of former Fulham and Wrexham youngster Jordan Evans and midfielder Ryan Kershaw, said: "The whole club is looking forward to seeing who we come up against.

"We've been back in training and the boys are relishing the chance to play in the Europa League.

"You only have to look at someone like Neil Ashton, who is 32 but described reaching the Europa League as the greatest achievement of his career.

"It means a lot to everyone associated with Cefn Druids Football Club."

Druids last European adventure saw the Wrexham-based outfit hold MyPa to a goalless draw at The Racecourse before they were beaten 5-0 in Finland.

Connah's Quay Nomads will enter the competition at the first qualifying round stage, which is to be drawn on next Tuesday with matches taking place on Thursday, July 12 and 19.
