CHESTER BOUGHTON HALL ended a run of three successive defeats in the Cheshire County League Premier Division with a welcome four wickets win against Neston.

Hall captain Will Owen won the toss and elected to field, and Neston skipper David Hurst enjoyed his time at the crease as he posted 100 exactly.

Luke Camden weighed in with 62 as the visitors reached 237 for eight off 54 overs, Charlie Fleet (3 for 56) and Alex Money (2 for 23) the pick of the Hall bowlers.

In reply, Warren Goodwin made 28 before departing at the top of the order before Alex Money (75), Harry Killoran (80no) and Owen (28) took Hall to a winning score of 240 for six off 49.5 overs, Matt Stewart and Chris Finegan both taking two wickets.

Hall are now up to sixth position but leaders Timperley remain the team to catch after beating strugglers Grappenhall by 155 runs.

Brooke Guest cracked 112 in Timperley's 232 all out, Arran McCabe finishing with 5 for 45, and Grappenhall found the going tough from the start as they were dismissed for 77.

Second placed Oulton Park triumphed by 113 runs over Didsbury. Daniel Leech (54) top scored in Park's score of 178 and Didsbury were rolled over for just 65.

Toft are third after losing by 100 runs away at Nantwich who posted 206, Raymond Doyle making 69. Toft got to 106 when their innings came to a close.

Marple (201 for 7) won against Cheadle (143ao) and Bramhall (191 for 8) clinched a winning draw at Alderley Edge (188 for 8).

Barrow remain winless at the bottom of Division One after losing by four wickets against Upton.

Iroshan De Silva cracked 82 at the top of the order but only two other batsmen got into double figures and Barrow were dismissed for 156.

Chris McArthur, former Chester Boughton Hall captain Ross Dixon and Ian Linwood all claimed three victims for leaders Upton, and McArthur was equally effective with the bat as the opener made 80 off 79 balls to help his side reach 158 for six to seal victory.

Alvanley remain third in Division Two as they defeated Weaverham by nine wickets.

Kevin Douglas (53) helped Weaverham post 135 all out, Stephen Charles taking 6 for 38, but it was never enough as Alvanley made 139 for 1 to seal success, Jonathon Whitley unbeaten on 78 to go with Michael Rowlands' 46.

Christleton in fifth lost by four wickets against leaders Lindow.

Mubashir Hassan top scored with 25 as Christleton were dismissed for 110, Sultan Raja finishing with 6 for 23.

Lindow dipped to 74 for six but then reached their target without dropping another wicket, Arslan Dar 3 for 25.

Tattenhall were beaten by two wickets at Northwich, Aamir Afzal (50) and Muddassar Butt (35no) taking the visitors to 173 for seven

In reply, Glinoj Cherian cracked 47 at the top of the order and Lee Evans (64) took Northwich to a winning score of 174 for eight, Gary Forster 3 for 30.
