Ryan Giggs’ Wales senior team are taking part in an open training session at Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground on Monday.

The legendary Manchester United winger has urged Welsh fans to come along to the free-to-attend session, the first time the national team have appeared at Wrexham's stadium in 10 years.

The squad is without Gareth Bale - who is preparing for the Champions League final with Real Madrid - but does include Euro 2016 stars Aaron Ramsey, Wayne Hennessey, Ashley Williams, Ben Davies, Joe Ledley and Hal Robson-Kanu.

The manager says it’s a thank-you to the dedicated North Wales based fans, who have travelled the length of Wales and beyond to support the team.

He said: “I was really keen to have a training session in the North. We have great supporters who regularly travel down to Cardiff to support the team.”

The ground will open from 10am and the Mold Stand will be open for spectators. Tickets will be allocated at the turnstiles on the day, on a first come first served basis.

Giggs will use the session, which starts at 10.30am, to prepare his squad for their May 28 friendly match against Mexico in Los Angeles.
