CHESTER had to be content with a point from a batlling display in Yorkshire.

The heavy pitch restricted both teams to only half chances during a fairly even opening period.

But Chester carved out a number of goalscoring opportunities after the break and tested home keeper John Lamb with a series of goalbound efforts.

Substitute Nathan Jarman saw a 57th minute shot crash off the right post, and Jarman was brought down by Matty James seconds later, but Matty McGinn's spotkick was saved by Lamb.

Substitute Marc Williams saw his 79th minute one on one with Lamb saved by the keeper, and Danny Williams fired over the bar a minute later from the edge of the box.
