Mold secured their Premier Division status despite a four wicket defeat to already relegated Llay Welfare.

Usman Butt's men may have tasted defeat and second from bottom Bangor beat Pontblyddyn, but Mold picked up enough points to make sure that the final match of the season is a relaxed affair.

Only Russ Wiseman (56) and Cliff Wiseman (29 not out) were able to reach double figures as Tom Smig Davies (5-31) and Dave Phennah (4-8) bowled them out for 109.

James Griffiths bagged 3-37 to put Llay under pressure in their run chase, but Damian Bryan (26), Michael Paletia (20) and Mike Phennah (15) did enough to help the visitors over the line.

Bangor managed to keep their faint hopes of survival alive cruised to a seven wicket win at home to Pontblyddyn.

Simon Murley (4-8) and Sion Gwyn (3-16) saw Pont rolled out for just 54, a total that Bangor reached inside 21 overs.

The comfortable victory means that Bangor can catch third from bottom Brymbo, who lost to title favourites Llandudno by 178 runs.

Duncan Midgley struck a brilliant 171 at the top of the order as Llandudno reached 304-5 declared from 46.3 overs, Ben Roberts with two of the wickets to fall.

In reply, Greg King hit an impressive 65, but Gordon Kerr picked up 5-46 to see Brymbo bowled out for just 126.

The destination of the title will either be Llandudno, who sit top of the table by 19 points, or second place Menai Bridge.

Bridge made sure that they are in contention heading into the final weekend with a 119 run triumph over Northop.

Jack Darcy collected 4-56 for Northop, but Menai still made their way to 237-8 declared thanks largely to a 64-ball unbeaten 71 by Gethin Roberts.

Harry Lewis (32) and David Foulkes (31) gave Northop a platform to build on, although once they went the home side slumped to 118 all out, Ashley Wood and Tim Coggan bagging five wickets apiece.

Third placed Mochdre secured their 10th win of the season as they beat St Asaph by 95 runs, but they are unable to finish anywhere other than their current position.

Connah's Quay made sure of fourth spot as they successfully defended their 113 all out by bowling Denbigh out for just 76.

Hawarden Park have one hand on the Division One trophy following a 13 run triumph at Menai Bridge 2nds.

With Llanrwst not playing until yesterday, Park moved 50 points clear at the summit despite posting just 129, 31 of which came from Mike Parton.

Hawarden then did their job with the ball, captain Ian Martin leading the way with 5-33, and with Jo Forde, Mike Wootton, Jason Biddulph and Craig Wilson all chipping in with wickets, Menai were bowled out for 116.

Third placed Pwllheli maintained their hopes of pipping Llanrwst to second spot with a three wicket win over relegation threatened Pontblyddyn 2nds.

A superb unbeaten 70 from opener Chris Myles and 37 by Julian Morris helped Pont post 151-9 declared.

Nathan Davies then grabbed 3-20 and Ranjith Appuhamy picked up 2-35, but Pwllheli managed to work their way to 152-7 with overs to spare.

Pont hold a 13 point advantage over second from bottom Marchwiel and Wrexham, who did themselves no favours by losing to basement outfit Bangor 2nds by seven wickets.

Marchwiel managed to work their way to 170-9 declared thanks to David Ward (64) and Luke Davies (37no).

Unfortunately for the home side, Bangor had Qasim Ijaz (63) and Faisal Khan (60no) in fine form and they reached 172-3.

Gresford enjoyed their home encounter with local rivals Chirk as the bagged a nine wicket win with the minimum of fuss.

Simon Perry took 5-8 to help bowl Chirk out for 92, a total which Alex Ellwood helped Gresford reach from 24 overs by hitting an unbeaten 49.

Elsewhere, already safe Halkyn lost to Llandudno by two wickets.

Halkyn scored just 115 but made Llandudno work for their win, the home side getting home inside 32 overs.

Ben Parker propelled himself into the public eye with a wonderful unbeaten 297 in Bethesda 2nds 438 run victory over Dolgellau 2nds in Division Five.

Parker made the most of the fact that Dolgellau travelled with just eight men to hit 25 fours and 13 sixes, and with Liam Griffiths adding a century of his own, Bethesda reached 460-1 from 45 overs.

Dolgellau were then skittled for just 22.
