ACCLAIMED singer-songwriter Jake Bugg and Aberdare born Welsh rockers Fireroad have been announced as the support acts for Stereophonics' huge summer gig at The Racecourse Ground Wrexham on Saturday June 2.
Bugg is currently on an acoustic UK tour of his own and will join the band in June for what promises to be two unforgettable shows. He recently released album number four Hearts That Strain, five years after the release of his acclaimed self-titled debut album.
Stereophonics latest record, Scream Above The Sounds, comes 20 years after their debut Word Gets Around with the band’s tenth studio album following 2015's Keep The Village Alive, which was their sixth chart topping album to go alongside countless music awards spanning over two decades.
When performing at the Racecourse Stadium last year Stereophonics become the first artists to play a live show at Wrexham FC's home since the 1982 Wrexham Festival
Frontman Kelly Jones said: “It's a privilege to have the following we have in Wales. The fans have stuck with us and believed in us no matter what path we have tried.
"We try to push ourselves out of our comfort zone and from doing that we see so many new young fans that have come on board also.
"The stadium shows are a celebration of 20 years of music. Songs that have come honestly and truthfully and then I can't believe I get to hear all those people singing them back to us. I can't wait to play in front of the crowd that made us."
Tickets are on sale now via www.stereophonics.com and www.myticket.co.uk.
