A MENTALLY ill man who smashed his neighbour’s front door and left him terrified has received a hospital order.
Mark Kerfoot Roberts, 50, of Prince of Wales Avenue in Flint, pleaded guilty to breaching a criminal behaviour order, criminal damage and having the axe.
Barrister Simon Rogers, prosecuting at Caernarfon Crown Court, said Roberts had placed a high demand on the police and there had been a catalogue of incidents involving him.
Judge Niclas Parry, who heard evidence from a doctor, said it was clearly a “very frightening” offence but Roberts had a mental disorder.
He said it would be appropriate for Roberts to be detained and he would be looked after in Birmingham.
