A COUNCILLOR will be taking part in an event in a bid to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Shotton councillor Kelly Evans will be taking part in an Ultra Ballroom Black Tie event on May 13 at the Olympia in Liverpool, for which she is learning a new dance.
She said: “We are currently in the middle of our training weeks to learn our dance, we can either do the waltz or jive, I’m doing the waltz with my partner Jen.
“We have made loads of new friends along our journey and are having training sessions at Nazene Danielles dance studio in Liverpool.”
Tickets for the event can be purchased at Ultra Ballroom Liverpool or by contacting Cllr Evans.
Anyone wishing to donate can do so through the councillors just giving page on Facebook or she has a paper version.
Cllr Evans added: “It’s been amazing learning new skills and raising money for this fantastic cause.”
