Drop-in information days have been arranged for a new housing development.

Residents wishing to discover more about the new extra care apartments, due to open this summer in Flint town centre, are being encouraged to attend information sessions this week.

The Llys Raddington extra care scheme is specifically designed for local people aged 60 and over who wish to live independently in a home of their own, with the peace of mind of 24-hour access to care and support.

Anyone interested in the new apartments, either for themselves or for a family member, can call in to meet the Extra Care Team at the Jade Jones Pavilion on Friday, March 9, from 9.30 am to 4pm and Saturday, March 10, from 9.30am-1pm.

There will also be the opportunity to arrange a visit to the new show apartments at the scheme.

Carol Thomas, senior extra care manager from the Pennaf Housing Group, said: "We’ve already received many applications from people who want to live at Llys Raddington scheme as it’s in a town centre location, with large self-contained apartments and access to 24-hour care and support, making it an ideal option for those over 60 years of age wishing to live independently in a high-quality environment.

"There is, however, still a chance for others to apply, subject to certain criteria.

“The advantage of Extra Care is that it allows people with a full range of care and support needs to live a lifestyle that is as independent as possible.”
