BUDDING young photographers have been working with a national heritage organisation to capture a snapshot of their town.

Year ten photography students from St Richard Gwyn Catholic High School, in Flint, have been working in partnership with Heritage Wales to create a photography series featuring images of Flint.

This wonderful opportunity arose through an art consultation proposal to regenerate the foreshore of the town. The students spent a full day working with an award winning documentary photographer, capturing a range of beautiful imagery that will be presented in an exhibition at Flint Library in May, and then go on to feature permanently in the proposed new visitor centre in the town.

Caitriona Moore, photography and art teacher said: "This is an exciting opportunity for students to gain an audience for their photographic endeavours. I am very proud of their achievements.

Some artistic photographs the students captured of the historic town are already available to view at Flint library.
