Buckley's annual fun day returned to the town on Saturday with a big crowd enjoying the weekend weather.

The fun day is put on by Buckley Town Council and has been running for around five years.

The most exciting attraction on the day was the Vander Bros and their giant space wheel. Dressed in superhero attire the brothers performed death-defying stunts to the onlooking crowd.

As well as the Vander Bros there was the world record breaking 'Caspa' the jumping Llama, a ghost train, Punch and Judy, a fun fair and a variety of stalls.

Local bands the Jarvis Brothers, Emma B and Yubaba also put on live performances.

Mayor and Mayoress of Buckley Cllr David Ellis and Cllr Carol Ellis were at the event, with the Mayor taking part in one of his first official engagements having taken over the role just two weeks ago

Mr Ellis, said: "Everything went fantastic. The day passed without incident, was well attended and the weather was beautiful.

"The live acts were excellent. I saw Yubaba who were brilliant, not to say the other live acts weren't.

"We had the world record breaking Caspa the jumping llama and the Vander space wheel along with several classic cars - there were all sorts of things there."
