PUPILS have been learning all about the outdoors in forest school classes.
Children from Southdown Primary School in Buckley have been enjoying the fresh air and learning more about the nature and the outdoors.
Teacher Jackie Darlington, who organised the forest school, said: “The children have absolutely loved it and the idea of the whole thing is to get them outside into the outdoor area so that they can engage in nature and get children off computer games and into the fresh air.
“It builds the children’s confidence and teaches them a lot. They’ve been climbing trees, learning how to build fires and getting to grips with nature and also built a bug hotel.”
The forest school sessions are held for the reception class every Wednesday and there is also another session for the older children.
