A former serviceman has cut the ribbon on a pub refurbishment which has created 20 new jobs.

The Greene King pub, the Squire Yorke on Sontley Road, Hightown has undergone a six-figure refurbishment, creating 20 new jobs in the process.

To mark the occasion the team also welcomed Fusilier and 'local legend' Shaun Stocker to try out the new facilities..

Vince Brown general manager at the Squire Yorke said: “The Squire Yorke has always been a popular destination for people in Wrexham so we’re pleased to be able to offer an improved food and drink offering to our regulars and new customers alike.

“The investment has been a real success, with great feedback on the new carvery, and pub atmosphere. We look forward to welcoming loyal and new guests over the coming months.”

The Squire Yorke is currently recruiting for bar and kitchen staff.
