A NUMBER of changes have been announced to the business side of Wrexham FC.

Jon Harris, previously general manager at Shrewsbury Town, is joining the board as commercial director.

He has previously worked with new Reds chairman Robert Bickerton, who was the club’s managing director.

Mr Bickerton said: “Jon is excellent and really did a first class job for Shrewsbury.”
Another change involves the football club’s administration staff returning to offices in the Racecourse’s Yale Stand.

For the past two years they had been based at the old Dickens garage.

Secretary Geraint Parry said: “While the club shop and ticketing operation will remain on Mold Road, we will shortly be moving the admin staff.

“We are currently cleaning up the old offices ready for our return. There will be a short period when facilities such as telephone lines will have to be switched over.

“We apologise for any problems this may cause supporters. We hope to have things back up and running again as soon as possible.

“While the available parking in that area is reduced these days, we still have plenty of room for fans who might want to pop in to see us.”

Mr Parry said the move would provide extra working space for staff.

Mr Bickerton said he felt the Racecourse was the soul of the club and staff should be based there.

Mr Parry added that sports kit supply company Kukri could shortly be involved in the running of the club shop.

- Mr Bickerton is refusing to comment on fans’ fears that businessman Stephen Vaughan is financially involved in the takeover of the club.

The new chairman told the Leader he did not want to discuss Mr Vaughan, a former owner of Chester City FC.

Some Wrexham supporters believe Mr Vaughan is part of a consortium set to buy the club and have been expressing concerns on the website Red Passion.

Yet another no-mark who is a stooge for the current regime. Why are there no comments allowed on the announcement that the new 'owners' want other peoples money to finance their take over? Invest in what? A company that doesn't exist, and is designed to remove the ownership of the Racecourse from the ownership of the club? How stupid does Mo$$ think we are?
