POLICE have launched a probe after residents complained about a dominatrix-style dungeon thought to be operating near two schools.

Fears about the dungeon, which offers clients the services of a “mistress” providing a range of domination services without any sexual contact, were raised through social networking site Facebook.

Soon after the Leader began to make inquiries about the dungeon, thought to be in Chirk, one of the websites associated with it was no longer accessible and carried the message: “Dungeon rental is no longer available”.

One of its websites – now unavailable – said it is “based on the outskirts of Wrexham and easily accessible from the A483 and A5 and local train station” in a “discrete, tree-lined location”.

The site also said: “You can book the dungeon for anywhere from an hour, a day, to a weekend.

“You can use the dungeon facilities uninterrupted, or if you desire a mistress can be on hand if you require assistance.

“Rental is £40 per hour for the first two hours, reducing to £30 per hour thereafter.”

Concerned parents say they believe the premises are actually in Chirk, close to both the village’s infant and primary schools.

One mother, who has a child at each of the schools but did not wish to be named, said: “The place has been mentioned on Facebook over the weekend and there has been a lot of concern about it among the parents.

“What is very worrying is the fact that this place is very close to the schools and you could have weirdos going in and out.

“I don’t think what they are doing there is illegal and if it was in a remote place it wouldn’t be so bad, but it’s very close to these schools.

“I believe the police know about it.”

Chirk South councillor Terry Evans said: “I must have had about six phone calls about this last week and three on Sunday.

“I have been in touch with the council’s public protection department and they say there is nothing illegal about it.

“It appears that everyone is avoiding the issue, but parents are up in arms at both schools.

“I can understand the real concerns they have.”

A spokesman for North Wales Police said: “We are aware of local concerns and are looking into the situation.”

A blog accessible through another of the websites, in the name of Miss Roxy, says: “I am no longer sessioning in My Chambers in North Wales.

“I've made the decision to find somewhere else, for personal reasons.

“I have been receiving a number of ludicrous emails (all at the same time, strangely enough!) and would like to take this opportunity to reiterate, for those that live in ignorance ... I do not provide a sexual service of any kind. I am a professional dominatrix and those that are less well educated do not seem to understand this!

“So now you know and maybe you won't be quite so confused.”

Both local schools refused to comment.

A spokesman for Wrexham Council said: “This is a police matter.”

Lol, wierdos..... Some people are So narrow minded. But they re right there is nothing illegal as to what was pertaining to happen at the premises, with clients like headmasters, judges, lawyers, bankers... Oh hold on, yes they are right, that describes wierdos to a T.

I belive legaly, a similar case was before the human rights court a few years ago (not sure of the date) where it was ruled as lawfull agreement between consenting adults providing there was no blood shed. and no violence intended. wierd as it may seem, to interfere uninvited (meaning no complaint) is violating there human rights.

Chirk's very own Dungeons and Dragons.

  14. Posted by: Robertly at 14:49 on 12 January 2011 Report

Lol contact details? I don't need them, I ran the website.... I'm currently thinking how to use this free publicity to my advantage... I had it redirected yesterday to the leaders homepage, bit then decided it was probably a bad idea. Anyone want it redirected to their homepage?

  15. Posted by: Roland Cleth at 14:56 on 12 January 2011 Report

@Interested, I think you'll find they're actually trying to protect the value of their properties which they perceive as being reduced because of these activities.

Who says Wrecsam has no heritage or culture... in this year of culture for the town the uncovering of a dungeon is most impressive...added to the iron age dwellings in Caia with their requisite cavemen plus the abundance of Cowboys... Wrecsam is well set under the rule of my liege and master.... Aled the Great

The people of chirk should be ashamed of themselves. If anyone is a "weirdo" it is small minded, small town folk. This kind of business very quietly goes about its work and "kinky folk" have NEVER, EVER been linked with being a threat to schools or society. I think the paper itself should be ashamed of itself for printing such tittle-tattle.

  18. Posted by: iliveinchirk at 10:48 on 13 January 2011 Report

Why would the police be looking into it? It is perfectly legal. As far as i know the only thing the police are looking into is protecting the residents of this establishment from vigilante behavior. That is the only fact worth worrying about here.

  19. Posted by: penyffordd_district at 11:30 on 13 January 2011 Report

Tx for putting the comments back up Leader.

  20. Posted by: zyfile13 at 11:43 on 13 January 2011 Report

The infinite variety of human expectation. A sad existence if this is what turns you on. What next? This service available on the NHS? If you are into this, why not go to N. Korea, they will do it for free. A classic story - Leader - more in 2011. The humour elevated my day.

  21. Posted by: zyfile13 at 11:58 on 13 January 2011 Report

If the National Trust wanted to display some initiative and raise additional revenue why not authenticate this experience in the real thing - Chirk Castle - right on the doorstep. Or what about Miss Roxy, with her[his] undoubted business acumen, as a potential new owner for Wrexham FC. Think - a game of football, 10 pts of lager and then chained 20 feet from the nearest toilet - excrutiating.

  22. Posted by: tiger29 at 12:32 on 13 January 2011 Report

this story says more about the 'outraged' residents than it does about the 'weirdos' who go to the dungeon, obviously the 'outraged' don't have enough happening in their own lives, or are 'outraged' because they didn't know it was there and could have been visiting

  23. Posted by: iliveinchirk at 14:35 on 13 January 2011 Report

zyfile13 - So everyone with a kink leads a sad existence? Oh what a sad existence you must lead, though you obviously don't realise it.

  24. Posted by: a cahill at 14:55 on 13 January 2011 Report

Zyfile 1... Once in every while a story appears that just invites an outbreak of humourous comments and I'm glad to say the posters always rise to the occassion....from the sublime to the ridiculous the improbable to the plain daft...Wrexham has it all and the alibility to chucle at itself is one of its most endearing qualities

This was front page news in the leader yesterday. Never mind unemployment, drugs, muggers, theifs or the sorry state of wrexham - but the KINKY DUNGEON is headline news. lol ...

There are a lot of blokes from Chirk in their 40's and 50's who have been subjected to discipline by a cane-wielding middle-aged woman based on Chapel Lane. Mind you, we are talking about the 1960's and she was Miss Jones, the head mistress of Chirk Infants....

How can I not have known about this useful local facility? Anyone got the address and phone number?
