THE Welsh Labour Party have announced that Chris Lloyd will run to become the Assembly Member for Brecon and Radnorshire.

The candidate from Knighton, ran in the General Election in May and has experience in running an election campaign. After attending John Beddoes High School in Presteigne, Chris went on to study politics with law at Greenwich.

After graduating he worked for Louise Ellman, Labour MP for Liverpool Riverside and Chair of the Transport Select Committee in the House of Commons and says that working in Parliament helped him to further explore his interest in politics and amplified his desire to serve.

On being named candidate, Mr Lloyd said: “I am standing as the Labour candidate for Brecon and Radnorshire as I believe that Labour is the only party that can deliver true equality and deliver the jobs and public services that are crucial for building sustainable communities in Mid Wales.”
