EMERGENCY crews were called to a lorry fire on the A55 in Flintshire.

Two fire engines from Flint and Holywell went out after reports that a HGV was ablaze between Northop and Holywell on Tuesday evening.

One hose reel was used to put out the fire, which began in the vehicle’s turbo units.

Crews made the lorry electrically safe. No-one was injured.
