MIKE Davies insists Welsh Premier table toppers TNS will not take victory over Welsh Cup fourth round hosts Llandudno Junction for granted on Saturday (2pm).
Despite leading the Welsh Premier and securing a place in the final of the Loosemores League Cup, the Saints assistant manager is refusing to underestimate the Welsh Alliance side.
“We have had them watched and we expect a tough game,” said Davies. “The pitch will be a great leveller as it is quite tight and I am sure everyone at Llandudno Junction will be out for an upset.
“There are some big clubs and good teams left in the Welsh Cup so we are certainly not allowing ourselves to look beyond the fourth round.”
Davies also insists the club will not be looking too far into the future in their bid to bring silverware to Treflan.
“Obviously we are now looking ahead to our remaining fixtures, but we are not focusing on winning cups or titles,” said Davies. “We will just prepare as we always do and take each game as it comes along.”
Meanwhile the Saints will not be strengthening during the closing days of the mid-season transfer window.
Davies said: “We are more than happy with what we already have at the club and these lads will see us through to the end of the season.”
