COMMUTERS faced hours of delays last night after a four vehicle smash on the outskirts of Chester.
The accident between the Posthouse Roundabout and Boughton Heath resulted in long tailbacks, stretching to Broughton and Rossett, for drivers heading towards Chester and equally long delays for motorists making their way towards Flintshire and Wrexham.
Police closed the A55 Chester eastbound between junction 36 on the A483 Wrexham Road and junction 36A on the A41. No fire appliances were needed at the accident scene.
