Webster strolls on after crushing Shepherd at World Championships

MARK Webster's tilt at global glory continues after a dominant demolition.

The denbigh darts ace proved too powerful for 29th seed Kirk Shepherd at the ladbrokes.com World Darts Championships.

Shepherd won only three legs as Webster raced to a 4-1 scoreline, winning the match on double top.

Next up for the 2008 Lakeside World Professional champion is a quarter final against either Co Stompe or Mark Dudbridge on New Year's Day.

The winner of that tie is likely to meet 14 time world champion Phil Taylor in Saturday's semi-final.
