Bail denied for two on Wrexham kidnap charge

TWO men charged with kidnapping two men and driving them across North Wales along the A55 from Conwy to Wrexham have been remanded in custody.

A judge refused a bail application on behalf of Daniel Egan, 31, a joinery student, of Sandrock Road, Marford, Wrexham, and co-defendant Michael Gornall, 26, of Cyll Terrace, Llandudno.

Both are charged with kidnapping Michael Creamer, of Conwy, and Russell Thomas, from Llandudno, in a van.

They are also accused of assaulting Adam Read causing actual bodily harm and Egan, alone, faces a count of robbing Mr Thomas of a mobile phone, gold chain and cash.

Both have been remanded in custody until February when they will be asked to enter pleas.
