UFO 'spotted' in sky over Mold

MYSTERIOUS objects have been seen in the sky above Mold.

A Mold family spotted three glowing red objects hovering above the sky over Bailey Hill and Gwernaffield Road at about 10.30pm on Friday night.

The mum and her 10-year-old daughter were in their garden feeding their pet rabbit when they spotted the mysterious shapes in the sky.

The 35-year-old resident mum, who asked to remain anonymous said: “We just saw these three balls of red light. First of all there was one and it was moving quite slowly and then another two came and followed it.

“They were just hovering and moving together, like they were synchronised. I have no idea what they were.”

She said the experience left her daughter terrified.

She added: “She wanted to go back in the house because she was that scared.

“I bet some expert will come forward and say they were lanterns, but they definitely weren’t lanterns. My husband is the biggest sceptic, but even he said there was something.”

UFO expert Scott Felton, from the Conwy UFO group, said at first glance the objects appeared to be Chinese lanterns, but the behaviour of the objects could suggested something more mysterious.

He said: “They look like lanterns from the images, but I find it difficult to believe that a lantern would just hover.

"In view of the weather that we have been having you would expect that the lanterns would just blow out.

“I suspect the three lights were sadly sky lanterns. However, taking into account the strong windy weather conditions that night, the lights did not seem to act in a way one would expect, which simply adds to the mystery.”

A spokesman for North Wales Police said no other sightings had been reported.

Loads of ghost and ufo tales in the Leader. To encourage the local economy why can't we invent a lake monster residing in Gresford Flash or a Bigfoot running around the Cymau?
