A MAN has received a life sentence for the murder of Wrexham woman Ermatati 'Tati' Rodgers.
Lukasz Reszpondek, 28 must serve a minimum of 18 years before he can apply for release from his life sentence after murdering 'Tati', burying her body and then attempting to dig her up again 15 months later as police closed in on him.
He denied murder but was convicted on Monday at the end of a three week trial at Mold Crown Court.
Mr Justice Lloyd-Jones this morning branded him a devious, calculating and determined liar and said the knowledge of the enormity of what he had done ought to shame him for the rest of his life.
The judge also recommended that he should be deported at the end of his sentence to protect the public from violent crime.
Reszpondek showed no emption as he was sentenced but there were angry scenes in court.
The judge commended the protracted police operation which led to the conviction and sentence and also commended six officers individually.
