A COMBINATION of Fron and Vera are getting together to make sweet music.
Dame Vera Lyn is releasing a new version of her best loved track We’ll Meet Again, recorded with Fron Male Voice Choir.
Formed in 1947, in the aftermath of the Second World War, the Fron were originally a community project designed to help alleviate the suffering caused by the war.
Dennis Williams, Fron Choir, founder member said: “Vera was my sweetheart during the war.”
The new version will be released on November 23. An arrangement of one of this country’s most celebrated songs, it blends the original vocal, recorded by Dame Vera in 1939, then aged just 22, with backing from the Fron Choir .
The track is also available on the Fron Male Voice Choir’s new album, Memory Lane, released the same day.
