Several people were sentenced at Wrexham and Mold Magistrates Courts on Friday, April 19.

Oliver Tinsley, aged 29 and of the Travelodge in Little Chef Access Road, Halkyn, was sentenced for using threatening/abusive/insulting words or behaviour in Mold on January 20. He was fined £80 and must pay £85 costs, as well as a £32 victim surcharge.

Terrence Hefford, aged 66 and of Hafan Deg in Treuddyn, was sentenced for drink driving in Ffordd y Llan, Treudyn (48 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when the limit is 35) on March 31, as well as failing to answer bail at Mold Magistrates Court on April 18. He was banned from driving for 12 months and must pay a £193 fine drink driving, as well as £85 costs and a £103 victim surcharge. For the bail offence, he was fined £64.

Robert Griffiths, aged 37 and of Y Waen in Gwernaffield, admitted one offence of stalking without fear/alarm/ distress which took place from May 31, 2023, to September 4, 2023, at Mold. The charge stated he pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the stalking of Deanne Jones and which he knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of her, in that he took images of her from Tesco's Mold CCTV, watched her on Tescos Mold CCTV, attended a wedding event at which he knew she would be present and followed her to various pubs in the Mold area. Griffiths was handed a 12 month community order with 20 days of rehabilitation activity and 180 hours of unpaid work. A two-year restraining order was made to protect the victim. As well as being prohibited from contacting or approaching Deanna Jones, the defendant must not go within 50 metres of Tesco in Mold.

Mariusz Szentak, aged 54 and of Sycamore Drive in Northwood, Kirkby, was sentenced for exceeding 30 miles per hour on the A5104 at Pontybodkin, Flintshire, on August 5 last year. He was fined £40 and received three points on his licence. He must also pay £110 costs and a £16 victim surcharge.

Lee Cluskey, aged 46 and of Tannery Close in Litherland, was sentenced for exceeding 30 miles per hour on the A548 at Oakenholt, Flintshire, on July 2 last year. He was fined £40 and handed three penalty points. He must also pay £110 costs and a £16 victim surcharge.
