A “PERFECT” nursery has been awarded the early years education prize at the Leader Education awards 2024.

At the awards evening on March 14, Rossett House Nursery were handed the prize for the best early years education.

Judges said the award would go to an innovative and successful child-minding provider, nursery, pre-school or organisation which stands out from the rest for their early years support or provision.

They also thought the winners should be able to clearly demonstrate the impact their work has had on their users or the children in their care.

During the event at The Village Hotel, St David’s in Ewloe, the nursery, which “always goes above and beyond” claimed the prize.

Staff at Rossett House were described as “brilliant and caring” with children being offered a “fabulous place to learn”.

In their nomination, the nursery's staff retention is a reflection that they are "doing something right", with staff who were there previously, now in managerial roles.

From onsite pets to exciting days, children are “cherished” at Rossett House, much to the delight of parents.

Upon being presented with the Early Years Education Award Rebecca Mottram (Director), Melissa Shaw (Manager), Sarah Lloyd-Williams (Manager) and Adrianna Sennah (Deputy Manager) from Rossett House said: “It’s how hard the staff work which makes it such a special place.

“It’s all about seeing the children grow and develop and it’s about building relationships all the time.

“We work closely with the parents and it’s so nice to see the children form good relationships with the staff at Rossett House.

“We’re very proud to be recognised for this award in what is such a competitive market. It really is a wonderful achievement for us.”

Also nominated for the early years education prize were Cylch Meithren Min-y-Ddol, Cefn Mawr and Little Scholars Nursery at Glyndwr University.
