TIME Out has released its list of the 15 best places to visit in the UK in 2024 - and guess which city has made the list!

That's right, Wrexham has been listed in 15th place as being one of the best places to visit in Time Out's 2024 guide.

Wrexham became one of the UK’s hottest tourist destinations after A-listers Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought Wrexham AFC in 2020.

Time Out say: "The city is also home to St Giles’s, one of the most stunning churches in Wales. Then there’s the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct – a huge 18-arched stone and cast iron structure carrying the Llangollen Canal across the River Dee – and two National Trust properties, Erddig Parkland and Chirk Castle.

"In 2024, the national Football Museum for Wales is also expected to open, with exhibitions on Welsh language communities, fan culture and LGBTQ+ experiences."

Popular local cafe Lot 11 also receives a worthy mention being the "perfect" spot to start the day.

Followed by a pint at The Turf and walk along the Pontcysyllte Acqueduct and surrounding World Heritage Site.

The full list of 15 UK destinations features picturesque seaside towns, buzzing cities and other-worldly islands, demonstrating that Brits don’t need to travel far to experience some of the best food, drink, culture and attractions in the world.
