Wrexham has been named one of the most deal-loving cities in the UK according to data from a mobile phone retailer.

The company Fonehouse has revealed the most and least deal-loving cities in the UK and Wrexham has emerged as the fifth biggest bargain lover. 

According to data, residents heavily search for the latest deals and discounts, as the city came out 49% above average for deal related searches!

Ben Branson, CEO of Fonehouse said: “With the cost of living crisis in full swing and consumers up and down the country really feeling the pinch, it’s important to know there are always more ways to save."

The study analysed the average monthly Google searches in each city across the UK for 150 specific deals related terms.

The average search volume for each term was added together for each region and then divided by the population of each city to create a final deal-loving score between 0 and 1. 

These were then ranked highest to lowest to reveal the most and least deal loving cities.

Wrexham took the fifth spot with Durham, Preston, Ely and Newry reaching the top spots.
