THE distraught owner of a horse shot dead in a field has offered a £500 reward to bring the killer to justice.
North Wales Police this week launched an investigation after the horse was found to have died after being shot dead in a field on Hope Mountain overnight between Saturday and Sunday.
The force’s Rural Crime Team said they are following up a number of lines of inquiry.
They said on Twitter: “Just spoken to the horse owner, who is offering a £500 reward for information leading to the conviction of the offender.
“Very sad case indeed.
“A lot of enquiries today but we still need information on who or why someone would commit such an awful and upsetting act.”
The horse was killed by a single gun shot.
Anyone with information has been asked to contact North Wales Police on 101.
