Reds fans have boosted Dean Keates’ transfer kitty by more than £40,000.

As the Build the Budget campaign continues, generous Wrexham AFC fans have now raised £42,269 since it began.

A Wrexham Supporters Trust spokesman said: “Together with supporters groups, individual supporters, perk initiatives, the local press and volunteer groups, we are also thankful to a variety of businesses that have got involved with our initiative so far.

“Under the guidance of Wrexham Football Club’s commercial manager Geoff Scott, Build the Budget are continuing to encourage a variety of businesses to get involved with our efforts.

“As part of the core strategy behind Build the Budget, we have an ongoing project involving members of our team who are tasked with engaging businesses in a professional manner.

“Obviously, it's a two way street where we can offer publicity on our largely followed social media channels in exchange for successful fund-raising ideas.

“So far we have successfully worked alongside businesses including, but not limited to, Wrexham Tennis Centre, The Fat Boar, Wrexham Lager, Maesgwyn Hall, Nant Mill and The Turf Hotel.

“We are currently talking to many other businesses about mutually beneficial ideas to increase productivity. This is one of our ongoing key objectives and we are enjoying working alongside them all.

“If you or your business would like to get involved, or you have any fun ideas that you think your business would benefit from while raising funds for the club, please contact geoff.scott@wrexhamfc.tv.”
