Witness appeal for Bangor-on-Dee crash after driver failed to stop

Staff reporter (Leader Live)

Police have appealed for witnesses to a crash where one driver involved failed to stop.

Officers attended the A525 Talwrn Green crossroads in Bangor-on-Dee at 6pm on Tuesday, where a Land Rover Discovery was on its side in the road.

A North Wales Police spokesman said: “The male driver of the Discovery was taken to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.

“It is believed the Land Rover swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle which subsequently failed to stop.”

Investigating officer, PC Gareth Roberts, said that the driver of the other vehicle may be unaware of what happened.

“However we are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the incident, or to anybody who may have been travelling along the A525 prior to the collision to come forward,” he added.

Police have no details regarding the other vehicle.

Anybody with information is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101, and quote reference number V004414.
