Music fans are eagerly anticipating two forthcoming gigs at the home of Wrexham AFC.
Last week, the Leader reported UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue will play at Wrexham AFC’s Racecourse Ground on May 26, 2017, a Bank Holiday Monday, as part of the band’s summer Grandslam UK Tour.
They will be bringing their signature blend of reggae and pop hits to North East Wales.
And the following month, X-Factor star Olly Murs will become the latest big name to take to the stage at the Racecourse.
Wrexham AFC, along with partners LHG Live and Orchard Entertainment, announced Murs will perform at the stadium on Mold Road on June 24 as part of his huge summer UK Tour.
Murs shot to fame in 2009 after appearing as a contestant on hit ITV show The X-Factor, finishing as runner-up.
He released his latest album, 24 Hrs, earlier this year.
Leader readers took to Facebook to share their reaction to the news.
