Woman appears in court charged over Ruabon house fire

A WOMAN appeared before magistrates charged in connection with a house fire in Ruabon.

The woman - who cannot be named for legal reasons - appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court today charged with arson with the intent to damage property and endanger life, being reckless as to whether property would be damaged or life endangered.

It follows a fire which gutted the ground floor of a house in Wynn Avenue, Ruabon, at about 5am on Wednesday.

No plea was entered by the defendant and no applications for bail were made.

She was remanded in custody.

The case was sent to Mold Crown Court, where she will appear on Friday, September 5.
