A QUANTITY of what are believed to be Class A drugs have been recovered in a house raid.

Two people were arrested for possession with intent to supply after North Wales Police executed a Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant at an address in Connah's Quay.

Police seized the controlled drugs when they searched the Cefn Road property, also recovering a number of stolen items in the process.

PC Jim Bailey said: "A warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act was executed this morning in Cefn Road, Connah's Quay and a quantity of what is believed to be class A controlled drugs and stolen property recovered.

"A 48-year-old local man and a 39-year-old local woman will be questioned and our enquiries continue, but we are obviously eager to hear from anyone who has any information about the supply of controlled drugs in the area to contact police or Crimestoppers.

"This morning’s action is part of Operation Scorpion's on-going effort to tackle illegal drug production, possession and supply in the region.

"Anyone with information regarding controlled drugs in the county area can contact North Wales Police on 101 or alternatively anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
