A COUPLE took a joke too far, a court heard, when they were caught on camera engaging in oral sex in the town centre.

Wrexham couple Adam Lee Eygenhuysen, 21, and Daisy Louise Parker, 23, were spotted indulging in a “two or three second” act of oral sex on Yorke Street by CCTV operators on the night of July 6.

Both Eygenhuysen, of Trooper Court, and Parker, of Gwenfro, were charged with having committed an act outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent manner.

They appeared before District Judge Gwyn Jones in a hearing at Wrexham Magistrates Court yesterday, where they both pleaded guilty to the offence.

Justin Espie, prosecuting, said: “CCTV operators followed the couple, and they engaged in an act of fellatio.”

Officers were sent to arrest the couple, and in interviews, they expressed embarassment and remorse.

Andy Holliday, defending, said Eygenhuysen had first made masturbatory gestures to joke and laugh at the cameras, but they then decided to go further.

He said: “Effectively, they took the joke too far.

“They expressed that they hadn't gone the 'full whack' on camera.

“The act lasted no more than two to three seconds - it was not for pleasure, and they noted that the camera was watching."”

District Judge Gwyn Jones fined the couple £150 each, £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £20 - a total of £405.

Both would have the amount deducted from them at a rate of £12 per fortnight.
