Man found seriously ill in Wrexham town centre

A MAN was taken to hospital in the early hours of the morning after being found in Wrexham town centre seriously ill.

The man, who police confirmed is in his late 20s, was found by police at around 12.10am on Tuesday and rushed to the Maelor Hospital, with police investigations ongoing this morning to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Wrexham inspector, Paul Wycherley, said; “Police were called to an address in Holt Street at around 12.10am today after concerns for a man’s safety.

"A man in his late 20s was found to be seriously ill and  was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

"Officers have been at the scene overnight  in attempt to ascertain the circumstance surrounding  the incident."

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: “At 12.05am today, Tuesday July 29, we were called to a medical emergency at an address in Holt Street, Wrexham. A crew in an emergency ambulance attended, and a man in a serious condition was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”
